REDLYNCH PARISH COUNCIL WEBSITE ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT
Introduction
The Parish Council is required by the Public Sector Bodies (Website and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018 (“the regulations”) to have a website that is accessible for all users and to ensure reasonable adjustments are made to websites so they are accessible to people with various disabilities.
These include:
- Impaired vision
- Motor difficulties
- Cognitive impairments or learning disabilities
- Deafness or impaired hearing
This Parish Council is required under the above regulations to have Website Accessibility Statement. This statement has been compiled by a review of national guidelines and a sample of statements from similar bodies.

How accessible is this website?
We know that some parts of this website are not fully accessible:
- in some instances, you cannot skip to the main content when using a screen reader
- Redlynch Parish Council has a specific business need to use PDF documents and as such they are extensively used. The older PDF documents may not be fully accessible to screen reader software.
- we do not also provide an html version of documents, since creating html versions of each one would be an unnecessary burden.
- we are aware there may be other accessibility issues.
We will continue to review the situation.
